Zoning a device on a Ziton ZP3 panel
follow these steps to add or remove a device on a Ziton ZP3 panel:
- press the menu key
- press 3 for setup
- enter the code and press enter (default code is 2000)
- press 1 zoning
- press 2 zone edit
- press 1 zone allocation
- type in the zone number you want to add/remove device from, press enter
- type in the device address (e.g. 1020 for L1 add 20) – DO NOT PRESS ENTER YET!
- Press enter if you want to add a device onto that zone
- press F1 if you want to remove a device from the zone (do not press enter)
- press the home key to ‘save’
- reset the panel
Why do you need to zone a device onto a ZP3 panel?
If you are installing a new ziton smoke detector onto a Ziton ZP3 panel, you will need to add it to a zone. You will also need to add addressable output devices such as sounders and relays onto zones as failure to do so may mean that they will not operate with the I/O mapping.
