Removing the existing Ziton ZP720 heat detector and installing the ZX832 multisensor
Simply remove the existing heat detector (or any device) from its base with an anti-clockwise twist.
Make sure that the Ziton ZX832 multisensor is addressed the same as the device that you have removed. This is done by the toggle switches on the back of the detector. If you do not know how to address Ziton devices, it is best that you watch the video above.
Install the ZX832 device onto the existing base with a clockwise twist.
Unless the device is disabled, at this point the panel will go into fault condition showing a device type fault. This is okay.
Learning the new Ziton ZX832 multisensor onto the Ziton ZP3 panel
- Enter the Menu system by pressing the menu key
- enter 3 for setup
- enter the code (default is 2000)
- press 3 for Points
- press 3 for Accept Points
After this process has finished, it is really important that you remember to press ‘Accept’ then the ‘Reset’ button to save these changes.
Programming the profile type of the Ziton ZX832 multisensor device
You will know need to program the multisensor to act as a heat detector. There is a staggering 27 profile types to choose from in total!
- Enter the Menu system by pressing the menu key
- enter 3 for setup
- enter the code (default is 2000)
- enter 5 for Paradigm
- enter 2 for edit
- enter 1 for Profile of Points
- type in the address of the ziton ZX832 multisensor and press enter
You will now see that profile number of the multisensor. To change this, or view the details, press ‘enter’
Now you can scroll through all the profiles of the Ziton ZX832 multisensor by using the arrow keys. Press enter when you want to select one.
Then simply press the ‘Home’ key to save your selection.
